It is about 70 ľKm from Bilaspur and about 151-Km from Shimla and It is 15 km from Anandpur Sahib.
The temple was built by Raja Bir Chand in the eight century.Attracting thousands of pilgrims to its many fairs, the temple of Naina Devi is situated on the top of a triangular hill commanding and unparalleled view of the Holy Anandpur Sahib Gurudwara on one side and Gobindsagar on other.
On a hill is famous shrine of Naina Devi. A colourful fair, the Shravana Astami Mela is held in July-August.A notable place of worship in the district is the temple of Shri Naina Devi Ji, situated on the hill top which rises some 9,15m above the sacred town of Anandpur Sahib in Ropar. The temple stands on the very summit of the hill above a small bazar and is reached by a long flight of stone steps or by a cable car.It is one of the 51 'Shakti Pithas'.

about 13 km upstream from Nangal township, it is one of the highest straight gravity dams in the world. The lake is about 90 km long covering an area of about 168 sq km of which 90 percent is in Bilaspur and 10 percent in Una district.
