Pathankot Bus Stand is situated on Gurdaspur Road. Pathankot Bus Stand is arround 500 metre from Pathankot Railway Station. This bus Stand is still under Construction.
Construction work started during chief minister Parkash Singh Badal's tenure.
Formerly, there were two bus stations: a small one right next to the train station (for himachal buses) and the main bus stand a few km away. Public HRTC buses to Dharamsala take 3-4 twisty, turny hours, while buses to Amritsar take 3 hours and cost the same.
Now Main bus stands has been given on BOT basis, The state government has given the main bus stands to private parties on a Built-Operate-Transfer (BOT).
