Pathankot Bus Stand, which is also known as Maharana Pratap Inter State Bus Terminal, is situated on Gurdaspur Road. Pathankot Bus Stand is arround 500 m from Pathankot Railway Station.
Its Construction work was started during the tenure of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

There are two bus stations: A small one right next to the Railway Station (for himachal buses only) and the Main Bus Stand(for all Places) a few metres away. Public HRTC buses to Dharamsala take 3-4 twisty, turny hours, while buses to Amritsar take 3 hours and cost the same.
